P008→ My mental 'discomfort' with gaps

I can't adapt to gaps. Sometimes, even when I'm idle, I feel anxious, unable to relax or sit still. When discussing themes with my classmates in the studio, they asked me what I was working on. I summarized by saying, 'I want to address the state of being unable to relax, feeling anxious about work even when trying to play.' They responded, 'That's exactly how I feel.' I believe many people are advancing in this state, but in reality, they are trapped by it. We criticize 'leisure,' believing it is something only the dead can do. So, I thought of many 'critical' symbols, like how teachers would use red ink to circle and mark up our essays, instructing us: 'Move this modal verb to the front,' 'Remove that phrase.' I drew these symbols and composed them into a series of unstable chairs. These chairs are not functional; you can't sit on them because they are not stable, preventing any rest.
