P002 → People and flowers that only bloom at night
I want to use this project to bring a sense of healing to people and convey this mindset ‘If you’re not sleeping once in a while, don’t worry about it’. I read some books and found some encouraging content in them.
01: The Night as a Wellspring of Strength
- present night-time as a realm of intuition, spiritual encounters, renewal, and healing.
- invites readers to appreciate the spiritual potential of the night and offers practical guidance for cultivating a deeper connection with this transformative time.
02: The Hidden Geometry of Flowers:
Living Rhythms, Form, and Number" by Keith Critchlow, published in 2011, explores the intricate geometric patterns and forms found in flowers. The book delves into the relationship between the natural world and sacred geometry, highlighting how flowers exemplify fundamental geometric principles.
Solomon Ibn Gabirol: flowers being the reflections of the planets or stars in ——Winter with its Ink.
I read a book called ‘The Hidden Geometry of Plant’. The book mentions that flowers are reflections of stars because, due to the natural golden section, the paths of planets are the same as those of flowers (here are some pictures like this, which I collected from the book). I think this is a beautiful idea for insomniacs. Just as some flowers bloom in the morning, some only bloom at night. We can accept sleepless nights and find other ways to get through them.
I interviewed some friends and collected their stories of staying up late and the changes in the night sky they observed. I am now looking for ways to transform this content into many flowers. Additionally, I might turn these interview findings into an online database or an exhibition, allowing people to share, feel accompanied, and gain different ways to get through the night, seeking emotional connections with others.
Additionally, I looked for some flowers that only bloom at night.
